Fantasy with realism: Indu Tripathi Solo Show
Dr. Ved Prakash Bhardwaj
Artist Indu Tripathi’s solo exhibition ‘Magical of realism’ has started on 9 November 2024 at the Triveni Gallery of Triveni Kala Sangam in Delhi. Indu Tripathi’s art, which unites woman and nature, expresses the joy of life and the warmth of relationships. The picturesque colours and the elegance of the shape make her paintings attractive. If you look at the texture of her paintings, you can see images of the tangible and intangible world in it. Her use of colour is so skilful that even if you look at any part of the painting, the artist’s artistic skill is clearly visible. She keeps the image of a woman at the center in her paintings. With this center, she combines birds, flowers, animals etc. which shows the depth of the character of woman and nature.
Indu Tripathi’s paintings beautifully embody the harmony between humans and nature, showcasing a profound Ecofeminist perspective. Her art reflects the interconnectedness of women and nature, emphasizing nurturing, resilience, and coexistence. Through evocative colors, intricate details, and a deep sensitivity toward the environment, Indu’s works transport viewers to a realm where human and natural elements merge seamlessly.
These paintings captivate audiences by stirring emotions and nostalgia, invoking personal and collective memories tied to the natural world. Indu’s ability to blend artistic aesthetics with environmental consciousness makes her work not just visually striking but also deeply thought-provoking, encouraging a renewed appreciation for nature’s beauty and fragility.
The exhibition was inaugurated by art critic Sushma Bahl. She underlined the development in Indu’s art and said that sensitivity in her art is important. The presence of senior artists Rameshwar Barota, Yusuf, Jatin Das, Johny ML, CS Krishna Shetty, Kanchan Chander etc. was notable in the exhibition.
