Atrangi: Strokes of Uniqueness Intro: An art show that captures life’s myriad colours.  Dubai-based banker-and-artist Nupur Jha turns her canvas Atrangi  — capturing complexities of emotions in colours, textures and patterns. Creating wildness with her art! Nupur Jha is an investment banker by the day in Dubai, artist by night. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Economics and specialises in data analytics, governance and managing strategic initiatives. “With art I wanted to explore my inner expressionism. Discover patterns and textures. The canvas was my storyboard.  My art was my work-life balance, it fulfilled my soul. As a banker I was crunching numbers. Every artwork is a conversation.” Her exhibition titled Atrangi — is her inner quest for discovery of abstract and undefined. “My inspiration is Atrangi, even I don’t know the outcome of my art when I start painting. But I want my art to find new dimensions. “ I liked her artwork Paheli — where she’s trying to unravel life’s mysterious knots. Another painting — The Vanity is a celebration of imperfections. It’s a mirror to society. Social media also impacts our perceptions, her painting Perspective— explores a right side-with #filter and left with #nofilter — the painting explores the untamed and unmasked emotions, where a filter cannot camouflage emotions. Nupur believes Art is based on the fundamentals of cause & Effect. The cause of the art develops from the Artists inner quest and desire to express on well-being prosperity, and the feeling of admiration in the art ownersArt allows her to see how her perception of herself is being dispersed and how it becomes crucial to not hold on to any fixed perception. The initial color always decides of which color should come next. Surrendering therefore is art, she says. But her art is not tamed. She allows herself to feel her art freely. “I don’t want to be structured into my art. My brush flows freely, it’s meditative. It’s spiritual. I’m discovering my soul.”  A show that makes you stop, look, think, wonder. Also I love the way how Nupur has balanced her career and life: a well-paying job and a lucrative arty passion. Yet, her down to earth artistic side defines her real success! In everyday life, art speaks to us at various levels.
