Samir, has painted a series on the legendary Sampooran Singh Kalra, known popularly by his pen name Gulzar, who is an Indian poet, lyricist, author, film script and dialogues writer and film director. Samir mounted two shows in Delhi and Mumbai, both of which were graced by the presence of Gulzar sahab himself. The shows received immense praise and appreciation from the audience. Samir’s love for poetry did not end there, as he also did another show based on the poems of the great leader and poet Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee when he was the Prime Minister of India. The show featured Samir’s paintings inspired by Atal ji’s poems and was exhibited in New Delhi. The highlight of this show was when Atal ji himself invited Samir and his family to his official residence at 7 Race Course Road. It was a proud moment for me to have my work appreciated by such a respected and esteemed personality like Atal ji- adds Samir.

Ajay Samir has gained recognition for his unique Cross hatching art technique. Using only lines and creating depth and shades, intricate rendering and including origami effectsto make his creations visually stunning. His technique involves layering of lines in various directions, resulting in a complex and mesmerizing effects.
