Celebrating Indian Artists: Astitva’s First USA Showcase

Art has the power to transcend boundaries, connect hearts, and weave stories that go beyond words. Astitva, an ever-growing community of artists founded by Anjali Sethi Malhotra, has taken a significant step onto the global stage. With its newly launched Astitva Online Gallery, the group has provided artists with a platform to showcase their work beyond national borders. This vision turned into reality as selected artworks from Astitva were exhibited in the United States, marking the collective’s international debut.

Astitva recently brought its first-ever curated art showcase to the USA, introducing a selection of remarkable Indian artists, including talented women artists, to the Seattle art community. This event was a celebration of their creativity, heritage, and storytelling through art.

Curated and led by Priyanka Bohra, a passionate volunteer dedicated to promoting Indian art globally, the showcase aimed to provide these artists with a platform to connect with new audiences. Each selected artist brings a unique perspective, whether through traditional techniques passed down through generations or contemporary interpretations of Indian heritage. Priyanka’s approach went beyond curation-she used strategic storytelling and digital engagement to highlight the inspirations, emotions, and cultural significance behind each artwork. Through her online platform, “Atelier by Priyanka,” she amplified these artists’ voices, ensuring their work received the recognition it deserves. To honour the selected artists we are featuring their photographs and celebrating their contributions to the Art community. This showcase demonstrated how art, when paired with strategic communication-storytelling, digital outreach, and audience engagement-can elevate emerging artists and introduce rich cultural narratives to a global audience. Astitva extends its heartfelt gratitude to Priyanka for her vision, dedication, and unwavering support in championing Indian artists, especially women, and giving them a well-deserved spotlight.

For Astitva, this is just the beginning. What started as a movement to promote artists has now evolved into a global community, proving that art knows no boundaries. With its first successful international showcase, Astitva has opened doors to many more opportunities for artists worldwide. The journey continues, carrying with it the essence of creativity, connection, and an unshakable belief in the power of art to unite the world.
