“Self Exploration-A Visual Journey”
On 5 January 2025, artist Monika Singh unveiled her much-anticipated solo show, “Self Exploration – A Visual Journey,” at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
The grand opening was graced by an array of esteemed guests, including renowned artists Ashok Bhowmick, Jiten Hazarika, Shailja Jain, Ajay Samir, and Roop Chand.
Monika Singh’s work, created using the intricate scribbling technique, showcases a unique artistic language that blends spontaneity with deliberate storytelling. Her collection, consisting of more than 50 artworks, is a profound exploration of self, emotions, and the ever-evolving human experience.
Speaking at the event, Ashok Bhowmick lauded Singh’s innovative use of scribbling as a tool of introspection and expression, while Jiten Hazarika highlighted the depth and intricacy of her artistic process. The other distinguished guests echoed their admiration for Singh’s ability to communicate universal themes through her distinctive style.
Monika shared, “This exhibition is a personal journey- a deep dive into my inner world, using art as a medium to navigate my thoughts and experiences. Scribbling has always felt natural to me, allowing me to capture the chaos and beauty of life simultaneously.”
The event witnessed an enthusiastic response from art lovers and critics alike, with visitors praising Monika’s ability to transform a seemingly simple technique into profound visual narratives.
