Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Moti Bagh-I, recently organised an inspiring and engaging session under the New Era of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Vision (NEEEV) programme, aimed at broadening students’ perspectives on art, creativity, innovation and emerging career opportunities.

Principal Dayavati Meena actively encourages students to explore opportunities beyond academics. Through the NEEEV programme, she promotes entrepreneurship, creativity and confidence among students. She believes co-curricular activities are essential for their overall development. With this vision, she organised an inspiring session with two accomplished creative professionals. Their experiences introduced students to new career possibilities in art, design and publishing. The initiative encouraged students to discover their talents and think beyond the classroom.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal Ms. Dayavati Meena, with the support of Art Teacher Mr. Sunil Dutt Mamgain and NEEEV Programme Coordinator Ms. Pratibha Rani. The initiative focused on providing students with meaningful exposure beyond the classroom and encouraging them to recognise their interests, creativity and individual talents as potential career pathways.

A key highlight of the programme was the interaction with Mr. Shital Verma, a renowned design professional and artist associated with the Times Group, who has also contributed to leading publications including Navbharat Times and Hindustan Times. Through his professional journey and experiences, Mr. Verma offered students valuable insights into the diverse opportunities available in the fields of art, design and visual communication.

The session also featured Mr. Sudhir J. Kumar, Editor of Art Life Today and Wildlife Today Magazine, who provided students with an insightful perspective on publishing, media and the creative process involved in taking ideas and artistic work to a wider audience.

One of the most engaging moments of the session was Mr. Verma’s live drawing demonstration. Students watched with keen interest as he transformed an idea into a visual composition, demonstrating how imagination, observation, creativity and technical skills work together in the artistic process. The demonstration encouraged students to look at drawing and visual expression from a new and more creative perspective.

The programme was further enriched by an interactive question-and-answer session, during which the students actively engaged with both guests. Discussions covered art, creativity, skill development, learning opportunities and career prospects. Drawing from their professional experiences in design, publishing and media, Mr. Verma and Mr. Kumar shared practical insights and encouraged students to explore their interests with confidence and curiosity.

A significant part of the discussion focused on the wide range of career opportunities available within the creative industry. Students were introduced to fields such as graphic design, illustration, animation, digital art, visual communication, advertising, publishing, multimedia and art direction.
